Based on a true story, this film had its world premiere at the Heathland International Film Festival in Indianapolis, IN on Saturday, October 8, 2022 to a sold-out audience
Chronology
Brilliant but emotionally guarded, Caro Drake comes to Oxford with the specific goal of getting a PhD, but a stormy friendship with a charming young man opens her to secrets, vulnerability and love. The event was attended by Carolyn Weber, author of the book on which the biographical novel is based, as well as actor Rose Reid, who played Caro Drake in the film, and other members of the production team.
I loved the book, so I was looking forward to seeing the movie, but I was disappointed
Christmas Eve at My House in the City, written by Stanley William Zabka and Donald Upton, performed by Eddie Fisher (1951 recording). In Among the Scholars of Oxford, Caro learned that there is more to life than the education of man, God, and Jesus.
It was interesting and informative
The film is more about her relationship with the man she falls in love with. I have a good look at Oxford, which seems to have its own culture in 37 or 38 colleges.
I send the book to others
Admission was more than double the regular admission price and there were probably only 4 people in the theater when I went. Follow the scenery of the film.
