The holographic circus that Neel’s younger siblings entertain is the same one the Chewbacca family watches in the infamous Star Wars Holiday Special (1978). Cast: Silly Old Deadly Bear (2022).
It’s beyond bad
I give this series two grades. A 6 for being a tolerable, stereotypical TV show for little kids and a 3 for having the audacity to call it Star Wars. There are so many references to Earth that it’s unbearable. I can’t think of anyone who considers the original trilogy as the basis for what Star Wars should be able to tolerate this.
Look, if you’re young, you’ll probably like it
Granted, it’s still not as puke-worthy as The Acolyte , but it definitely completed the Disneyfication of the once-incredible franchise. I’d give almost anything to be able to save Star Wars . If you’re a fan, you’ll probably like it. If you think the sequels are great, you’ll probably like it.
Disney, Marvel, and Star Wars are dead
As for me, I’ve been an old-school fan since the beginning. It’s a sad state of affairs when the prequels are so much better than modern Star Wars , because those movies kind of suck too. Rightfully so, I pirated this series because after the last one, I couldn’t justify giving this piece of crap any more. “One Hundred Years of Solitude” is one of the biggest TV and streaming premieres this month.
