Typically, a landman’s job is to negotiate and finalize agreements with landowners who hold mineral rights to lease those rights to the company they represent. Much like a foreman on a construction site, they build roads, workers’ living quarters (man camp), supervise the assembly of excavation machinery, and the drilling of the well itself, especially in remote locations.

They are also part Fixer, Problem Solver, and Facilitator. I have to start by saying that I am a huge fan of almost anything Taylor Sheridan (Yellowstone, Mayor of Kingstown, 1923, 1883, Tulsa King, Lioness, Sicario, Hell or Highwater, Wind River, etc., etc.).

This show is about Tommy Norris (Billy Bob Thornton) trying to get his company to the top during the oil and gas boom. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a good new show to watch, especially if you are a fan of Taylor Sheridan.
