Struggling with his dual identity, failed comedian Arthur Fleck meets the love of his life, Harley Quinn, while incarcerated at Arkham State Hospital. Lady Gaga, Brendan Gleeson and director-screenwriter Todd Phillips talk about what scared them the most about making a musical sequel. The subtitle of the film "Folie a Deux" means "Madness of two" in French. This initially led to speculation about Harley Quinn appearing in the film, which was confirmed shortly after.

The name Folie a Deux comes from the 19th century French psychiatrists Charles Lasègue and Jules Falret. The term was coined to refer to two or more people who share the same madness or delusion. The story adds nothing truly new or original
The ambitious choice to transform the film into a musical, although brave, was not interesting. The relationship between the Joker and Harley Quinn, although central to the plot, fails to convince, lacking the emotional depth that could make it memorable. Joaquin Phoenix confirms his talent, but his interpretation is also a bit repetitive compared to the first film. Lady Gaga, as Harley Quinn, gives a solid performance, but the character seems crushed by the dominant figure of the Joker.
Bad film in general
