The charming Agatha Harkness regains her freedom thanks to the help of a teenager. Intrigued by his request, she boards the Witches' She travels through trials to regain her powers and discover the teenage girl’s motivation. Stars Kathryn Hahn, Joe Locke, Sasheer Zamata, Debra Jo Rupp and Ali Ann, along with host Jac Schaeffer and executive producer Mary Livanos, share how they prepared for the Marvel Westview show filmed on Blondie Street at Warner Bros. The set was previously used for Wandavision
Agatha lives in the house used in the TV series Bewitched (1964). Referred to in WatchMojo: Top 10 Most Shocking Disney Plus Day Reveals (2021). I came to Agatha All Along with no preconceived ideas or any insight into the background of the story. So, it wasn’t until I dug deep and watched episode 6 (?) that I realized it was related to the Marvel Cinematic Universe – specifically WandaVision.
I felt cheated and resentful
Well, after I got engaged to Agatha All Along, I broke it off and had to watch WandaVission. While WandaVision has some critical elements as a backstory to Agatha All Along, it’s pretty tangential (and – IMO – a much weaker show than Agatha All Along). Well I finished E6 and then moved on to E7-E9 and I actually had to give up the show credit. The acting is excellent across the board, with Hahn as Agatha a standout.
And it doesn’t unduly affect the whole show
The sets have an unusual and original perspective on how the series moves. Most of all, the trials the characters go through and their growth are well done. The show keeps an interesting story for adults without the usual sugarcoating where everyone ends up okay. While I don’t think the MCU connection was necessary, it is.
