An aging gangster tries to reconnect with his children and right the wrongs of his past, but the underworld isn’t happy to loosen its grip. A definitive diagnosis of CTE can only be made by examining brain tissue after a person’s death. This diagnosis was meant to be presumptive with other options and possible treatments explored. Liam’s performance is simply over the top, he plays the character so well you can feel every emotion he’s feeling. The movie is psychological, there were some disturbing scenes with too much violence, but I guess it was necessary for the story to unfold. I don’t understand the low ratings, it was a good movie and you couldn’t guess the plot very easily. I thought this would be another Liam Neeson action movie and I love them, but this hits differently, it’s mystery, crime, psychology combined. It’s slow paced, so it’s not for everyone, but it’s rewarding. I would recommend watching this movie if you have weird and unique tastes in movies.
