Chronology
In 1979, a group of young filmmakers set out to make an adult film on a rural Texas farm, but when their lonely, elderly owners catch them in the act, the crew finds themselves in a fight for their lives. A prequel, Pearl (2022), was written to launch the day after South by Southwest premiered. He asked star Mia Gotta if she wanted to stay in New Zealand and film The Pearl, and she readily agreed.
No opening credits
A prequel will be released later in 2022. When Lauren goes into the basement and turns on the light, there is a modern halogen bulb that wasn’t available in 1979. Maxine: I won’t accept a life I don’t deserve.

The title doesn’t even appear on the screen until the end. I can’t when movies are full of characters walking around without any instincts doing the dumbest things they could ever choose to do before being killed.
Sex is expressed
That’s literally the whole movie. “Action and Blood” is actually pretty harmless. The characters are idiots.
